UNIQUE SECURITY CHALLENGES OF MOBILE COMPUTING=20

In addition to generic security issues, mobile computing has the = following=20 unique security issues.=20

Physical security. Because of their size, mobile = devices are=20 easily stolen. A stolen device can provide the thief with valuable = data and=20 digital credentials that can be used to compromise an m-commerce = network.=20

Carrier barrier. Since mobile devices receive = service from a=20 public carrier, transactions can be intercepted and replayed at a = later time=20 or used for other illegal purposes.=20

Transactional issues.
